Errors are corrected in place and recorded here with the date and the substance of the change. Nothing is silently edited.

This log is empty because the site has just been published. That is the only reason it is empty, and it will not stay that way — a publication that reconstructs a decade of results from archived pages and press in four languages will get things wrong.

The parts most likely to be wrong

Stated plainly, so a reader knows where to push:

• Name spellings. Participants were recorded by the contest's own pages, then re-recorded by press in Italian, German, Russian and English. Where a spelling varies between sources, both are kept rather than one being chosen silently.
• Attribution of individual awards. For at least two editions, different outlets credit the same award to different people. Those disagreements are named in the text where they occur.
• Dates of individual editions, where a source gives a range that conflicts with the schedule published at the time.

If you competed in, judged, organised or covered this contest and something here is wrong, say so. Corrections from people who were actually present take precedence over anything reconstructed from an archive.
